Celebrated my brother's birthday for him a day earlier yesterday... his birthday falls on 30th Jan... He's 20 this year... one more year also 21 le... don 't know what to get him as a birthday present.. so this year i decided to give him something 实际... cash.. haha.. i did get him a birthday card also la.. haha... so hopefully brother... 20 years old le.. gg into the army in a few month's time.. will learn to be more mature, responsible and sensible k... =)

Chinese New Year this year falls on 26 January 2009, Monday. So, New Year's Eve is on a Sunday. As usual, we had our reunion dinner at home on that day. Mummy prepared lots of food for our steamboat feast. Yummy...

Yup.. then on the first day of CNY, we went to both grandparents' house to 拜年, had lunch at 婆婆's house and then dinner at 外婆's house... our usual routine for CNY.. and then thats the end of the day.. haha.. we don't visit our other relatives as most of them are not in S'pore...

Then we are on our way to Sentosa.. this time we drove our car in.. so we got there pretty fast...

There's the flower exhibition again this year at Sentosa, just like the one we went to 2 years back... yup.. and as expected we see alot of people from you-know-where country and also alot of foreign workers there... seriously Singapore must to so small and boring with no other places to go.. so thats why all those people go to sentosa... haiz...

There's this place where you can see animals performing.. like parrots and such.. and well, the admission is FREE.. so well you know... lots of people gather there..

We were waiting for the ride up the Tiger Sky Tower... 2 years back it was called the Carlsberg Sky Tower.. haha so i predict that soon it will be called the Heniken Sky Tower!!!

Then we went to sit the Luge and Skyride... this is the skyride, which is something like the cable car.. but the scary part is that you are having your legs hanging in midair!!! So scary!!! I don't think i'll ever sit a second time!!!

So that's how i spend CNY this year... tomorrow everything will be back to normal... so i feel that this year's CNY is really nothing much... unlike last year's....

Friday Evening.. met up with Shi Yun, Pei Qi, Shan Fu, Jasper, Eng Tian and Vincent for dinner at Sudoku @ Raffles City.... the topic discussed the whole evening/night was abt the guy's girlfriends la... haha.. but then it was funny they way they said it... so we all had a good laugh and enjoyed ourselves...

I tried baking Kuih BangKit.. you know the cny cookie that is white in colour and make use of coconut milk... =) yup.. the steps from the recipe were pretty simple... but u guess coz the cookie cutter i used was abit too big... so the cookies need a longer time to bake... overall its ok.. taste just like how the kuih bangkit should taste like.. wahaha

Pineapple tarts that me and my mum baked yesterday night... this year's one was much prettier appearance wise compared to last yr de.. haha... but we din make alot also.. coz the pineapple jam is limited.. and also we have quite alot of other cny goodies at home le... (ppl 送 one).. wahaha.. so mum said that new yr also not alot of ppl will come visit.. so dun need to make alot.. wahaha.. but anyway.. we already started eating some of the goodies le...

All my tuitions are resuming this week or the next...

I counted and omg! i have 10 kids on hand!

Sounds alot but actually.. most of them only have tuition once a week.. 

Most of them i put it at night or in the evening... so am getting quite use to reaching home late most of the week...

That is also the reason why i can take in so many of them...

I always prefer to teach kids that are older like upper primary and higher...

Well... with 10 kids at hand.. i must make sure that i'm still able to cope with my studies..

Haven started revision yet.. has only been doing assignments and preparing (sort or) for the tests...

Woke up early today to bake a birthday cake for my mum.. haha... looked for a basic sponge cake recipe from the internet last night and tada... i baked my very successful spongcake! haha... and as for the decroations, i bought some fruits like canned peaches, kiwi and strawberries for the toppings... ah and before that of course i need to apply the whipped cream.. =)
