This is the Chicken platter i ate there.. not very fantastic.. but still ok la.. haha

Some of the boardgames we played.. this is the first we tried.. its like a strategy game for 4 players.. and you are suppose to follow certain rules and try to plave as many of the colour pieces on the board..

The last game we played before we left... its Taboo.. very fun! haha...

Had lesson in school today.. despite the fact that some do enjoy a 2 weeks break.. but that doesn't apply to me.. and although some decided to self-declare a 2 weeks holiday break.. i decided to go to school.. MSM today was kinda making me sleepy for the 1st half.. but i guess i did pick up a thing or 2 from the topic taught today.. the lecturer wrapped the chapter and did some tutorial questions... Strategy lecture today was surprisingly understandable today.. i guess it had to do with the chapter being taught today is easy to understand i guess... although it is all theory as well...

Well.. 2008 is coming to an end soon.. tomorrow's already New Year's Eve... but as usual.. being a wednesday.. i still have tuition... although i'm hoping that one or two parent will call up and cancel tuition.. haha but then again.. i'm gg to collect money from 2 students tml.. so its better if they don't cancel right? wahaha... i'll need the money for CNY shopping ma... yup.. so tml i'll have to leave house slightly early as well coz i need to go photocopy some worksheets for my students.. they are almost done with the set that i've previously prepared... and then i'll go for tuition.. 1.15 to 2.45 then 3.30 t 5pm and then finally 6.00 to 8.00pm... and then after that i'll go to the supermarket to buy some ingredients.. coz i wanted to bake my mum a cake for her birthday on 010109..=)

HoHoHo~~ Merry Christmas....! haha... although christmas is ending real soon... spend my day today at Plaza Sing... watched a movie with Ghislaine... we watched Bedtime Stories... very funny movie.. haha...

My Christmas Present from Ghislaine!!! Thanks alot! Its a light yellow shawl...! =) and its thicker than my current one.. and the yellow is not as dark as the one that i bought earlier online... =)

New members to my softtoys family.. my latest craze... Care Bears!!! Wahaha... of course i love the yellow ones!!! So cute! Don't you think so?!!! =) I let them reunite with each other today.. (i bought the small one first and only when to get the bigger mother one today~)

This is the swissroll or spongecake mixture.. here we don;t use any butter.. just eggs and sugar to beat till light and fluffy... after that we just add in the sifted flour and cocoa powder..

After that, we adder the mixture into the baking tray that is lined with greasepaper... and oops the first time i actually forgot to grease the paper! so the paper sticks to the cake when we try to remove it after its baked.

Yup, so here's the cake when its done... now we have to turn it over and remove it from the baking tray..

Remove the grease paper first... and then we'll have to trim off the uneven sides using a knife...

We had to join 2 pieces together as the bigger baking tray we bought today doesn't fit my oven!! Arghh... so angry.. so have to make do with the 2 small ones that i originally had...

After trimming... we spread the blueberry jam generously over the top... before rolling it up...

And tada! Thats the swissroll! This is the first one we made.. so its kind of ugly.. and we were quite disappointed.. but then when we started applying the whipping cream over it... wahaha... you'll see..

This is the whipping cream.. so of course you'll have to whipped it first!

Then we spread the cream thickly over the whole swissroll... see.. doesn't it look like a real log cake now!!!!

Then we got some chocolate mixed with piping jelly.. and use a fork to go over it... woohoo! A real log cake now!!!

The very first log cake we made today!!! Then because the swissroll inside we added a little too much flour.. causing it to be too hard.. so we decided to make another 2 more... wahaha...

This is my finished log cake... so pretty right? I applied whipped cream and then shifted some cocoa powder it!!! so nice!!!

This is Yan Li's one... her's is bigger with 2 extra 'branches' at each sides... and then she saw how nice mine turned out to be when i shifted the cocoa powder on it.. so she decided to do the same too! wahaha~

Then we packed her's into a box that we bought earlier so that she could bring it home... haha.. doesn't it look just like one that you buy from a shop outside?

Tuesday's Strategy class was boring as usual... haha...

haha.. went NTUC just now.. and i think this banner they hung up is so eye catching.. Christmas is just round the corner... in a few weeks time... as you know the lightings at Orchard Road are already up... nth special this yr i suppose...
