Today's my free day for the week... have all the time to myself.. no tuition!! Always felt very happy before Tuesday comes.. but now that Tuesday is ending.. I'm feeling sad...=(.. tomorrow there's tuition all the way till 8pm... Thursday there's tuition till 6pm.. Friday have tuition till 10pm.. Saturday there's tuition till 5.30pm.. and Sunday... tuition till 4pm!!! Alright.. maybe I'm exaggerating.. my tuition doesn't start in the early morning.. but still its a dread to think that i have to end my day so late... I'm not like my brother... having gotten himself a girlfriend.. he still reaches home so constantly at 12am plus every night without fail... haiz...
I went down to Seng Kang Compass Point this afternoon after lunch.. went Popular to get some materials that i need for tuition.. and also to get the gift wrapper and card for my friend's birthday present.. i hope she will like the present that i chose.. haha... It was quite crowded down there... being a weekday afternoon.. it is a common sight to see large group of school kids in their school uniforms loitering around... some dining in costly restaurants.. some shopping around.. so yup.. just shows that kids nowadays are rich... even if they are not.. but given the pocket money that their parents gave them.. it made them feel rich... so most of them would just spend up till the last cent they have.. without leaving any left to save... alright.. i admit that i use to do that when i was young too.. but as we grow older.. we learn to understand the importance of saving... i just hope those kids would understand that fast enough when they grow up too... meanwhile spending more once in a while is find.. but definitely not fine if you over do it...
Was blog browsing just a while ago... one of my friend mention something about females being better suited to be teachers compared to males... Hmm.. haha.. thats a sensitive topic.. anyway my stand would be that yes indeed females are better suited as they are naturally equipped with the required criteria needed to be a teacher... that being patience.. this i think is a very important criteria that a teacher must have... i myself sometimes would also lose my patience sometimes with my tuition kids... but if i can.. i will always try to control myself... because for me.. losing my patience.. equal to me going to blow my top.. and that again equals to me not being able to deliver the rest of the lesson properly.. and that equals to the parent paying me and not making full use of their money... yup.. but i guess we must still give guys the benefit of the doubt.. i mean.. in my life as a student in school... i have to admit that i have met male teachers that are very dedicated in their teaching.. you can see that they really have a passion in teaching... although for me.. i would prefer a female teacher rather than a male teacher.. that's just me la... but no matter what a good teacher would be someone who has the passion in the job.. and truly cares for the students... When i first started out as a tuition teacher like about 1 year ago.. my initial motive is to earn some pocket money for myself through my 3 years in university... as i taught on.. i envy those people my age who are so carefree.. just having to care about their studies an nothing more... soon after.. i began to really care about my students... about how they do in school... why are their results dropping... what is it that they don't understand.. i try my best to guide them along in their studies not only because their parents pay me to do so.. but also because i know that the role i play is as of importance.. as every phase of their life as a student is important.. i want to help them to achieve what they can... as that would definitely benefit them in their future... that is what my life experience tells me... some of my students look upon me as an older sister.. sharing with me what they experience in school and stuff... I'm happy to listen... some treat me as their friend.. I'm happy too.. in all.. I'm glad that i met all of them.. and is able to help them in their studies as much as i could...
That aside.. i gave some thought into what I want to do in a few years time after I graduated... teaching would definitely be an option for me.. but also not the one and only one... we shall see.. =)

Yet another baking session~~~ =)
Today's Tuesday... which is my only day free of tuition for the entire week.. so being in a relatively good mood.. i decided to try baking cookies again.. wahaha.. this time round i tried to make the appearance of the cookies better... i used the biscuit shaper (i'm not sure if tt's what people call it) and made the cookies into shapes of rabbits.. gingerbread man.. and ships... haha... but then it still looked home made.. nothing like what we can buy outside right...
P.S. This is my recipe if your are interested =)
260g self raising flour
70g clustered sugar
70g brown sugar
1 egg 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
175g butter
chocolate chips * i forgot the amt.. but just added how much i wanted! wahaha
~ if u are really interested to bake some urself... and need the steps.. just let me know =)
I haven been trying to bake cookies that will not go flat everytime i bake them... so today i decided to give it a try again using butter... coz in the past i used margarine coz they are supposedly healthier... and guess what?! I succeeded!!! Wahaha.... so now i know what is wrong with all my previous attempts...=) But i guess the outer appearance of the cookies still isn't that wonderful... so that's something that i'm going to improve on!!! =)

Just thought that i should update a post....
I just bought a PSP slim on monday... haha... yup... am like soooo obsessed with it now.. haha but just feel obliged to update a post on what's going on recently... and since its now a new month already... July!! Haha.. yes... Dad's birthday coming as well... my tuition kids exams are coming too.. and my holidays are still on going as usual...
Past few weeks i have been doing like the same routine week after week.. eat sleep wake up go tuition play computer.. and now plus my PSP....
But i'm sure my PSP will come in handy.. like when there is a short break between my 2 tuition.... could use that to kill some time.. instead of walking around aimlessly in a shopping centre.. as that gives rise to the tendency to spend money....
Yup.. that's all for now.. i suppose the next post will be quite some time later... unless i have something special out of the usual that i want to blog about.. haha... Ciao....
