ok... i have been thinking hard how to express what and how i'm feeling recently. Here's my attempt: i feel that friends shouldn't 'make use' of one another. Maybe sometimes, you do things unintentionally, but the party might feel that he/she is being 'made use' of. Sometimes, in a friendship, one is always compromising, and the other party is always enjoying all the advantages! Maybe taking turns to compromise each other is a best measure to maintain a friendship. For instance taking turns to take the 'favourite' seat when visiting a fastfood joint, or even when on the bus. Sometimes, when one party compromises, doesn't mean that party is really feeling ok. We shouldn't take things for granted as well, why must it always be the same party who does all the 'individual' task like running an errand to get stuff. If there's really a valid reason then no choice la, but sometimes when it can be done by yourself just when you make the EFFORT to TRY, things can be done! Can't keep relying on others to get things done! Independent is the word here. The other party that is always feeling that he/she is compromising might not know how to reject a friend, thats why he/she remains in that role. The other party's unhappiness of always playing that role might not be visible, but that doesn't mean the negative feelings does not exist! I also believe that some behaviours are selective, one will never or tries not to be late for important events like attending school and submitting assignments. Why can't that attitude be brought forward, when looking at small contracts that are made between friends? =( Bottling all the negative emotions inside and trying hard to remain as normal as possible is a difficult task! You never know when the inside will be over loaded and everything just overflows!!! You might think its alright to make one party wait after the time arranged to meet, feeling that its alright and that its not the first time this happens and the other party always WAITS... but stop here for a second and, spare a thought for others!!! Put yourself in their shoes, do you want to look silly loitering around the same place over and over again just because you are waiting for someone or look silly sitting all by yourself in class just to make sure there's seats available when class starts, when the class will only start in an hours time? Well, you might think but no one forces you to do all those.. ok then its just that person wanting to make a fool out of himself/herself ok.. trying to be the saint that makes everything run smoothly.... hope that answer the qn!!!! Lastly, Think twice... Minor changes will work wonders! P.S. Just trying to vent some frustration that's all. Hope this post set some minds thinking and reflecting... bye...
